1.Cover the pudding basin with a large sheet of baking paper and a sheet of foil, folding each in the middle to make a pleat to allow the pudding to expand during cooking.
2. Fold the foil and paper down around the pudding basin.
3. Pinch the foil tightly around the rim.
4. Wrap a length of string around the rim, leaving enought to make a bow.
5. Tie the string with a double bow.
