Healthy apple and sultana crumble
This decadent-tasting apple crumble is a lot healthier than you think. We've used honey and sultanas to add natural sweetness, low-fat spread in the crumble and added oats for a fibre boost. It's the perfect way to end a roast dinner.

- 5 apples, peeled and chopped
- 75g sultanas
- 2tbsp runny honey
- 60g self-raising flour
- 40g rolled oats
- 30g low-fat spread
- 60g caster sugar
- ½tsp ground cinnamon
- 6 small scoops low-fat vanilla ice cream,
- Heat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/gas 5. Put the apples, sultanas, honey and 2tbsp cold water in a large saucepan, then stir over a medium heat until the mixture comes to the boil. Reduce to a simmer, then cover and cook for 5 min or until the apples are just tender. Transfer the mixture to a 1.25 litre baking dish.
- Put the flour and oats in a mixing bowl, then rub in the spread with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the topping over the apple mixture, then bake for 20 min or until golden. Serve with the vanilla ice cream.
