Blackcurrant berry ices

  • 250g frozen blackcurrants 
  • 300g low-fat berry yogurt 
  • 2tbsp icing sugar 
  • 150g low-fat vanilla yogurt 
  • 250g strawberries


  1. Put the blackcurrants in a blender and purée until smooth. Stir in half the berry yogurt along with the icing sugar.
  2. Half-fill 6 ice lolly or muffin moulds with the purée and freeze for 1 hr.
  3. Add a spoonful of the vanilla yogurt to each lolly and freeze for a further 30 min.
  4. Purée the strawberries and mix with the remaining berry yogurt. Push sticks into the semi-frozen lollies, pour over the strawberry purée and freeze again for 1 hr or until solid.
