Chilli avocado toast with feta and toasted seeds

Whether you serve this classic combo for breakfast or lunch, avocado on toast is always a winner. We've jazzed ours up with a sprinkling of feta and toasted seeds for extra flavour and texture.

  • ½ medium avocado
  • 1tbsp lemon juice
  • Tabasco, to taste
  • 2 slices low-calorie wholemeal bread (we used Hovis Nimble)
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Handful rocket leaves
  • 25g reduced-fat feta, crumbled
  • 1tbsp toasted seeds
  • Pinch chilli flakes, to taste


  1. Mash the avocado with the lemon juice and tabasco.
  2. Toast the bread, then top with the avocado mixture, tomato slices, rocket and feta. Sprinkle with the seeds and chilli flakes.
  3. Serve on a split gluten-free crusty roll or bread instead.
