- 200g pitted dates
- 600ml unsweetened almond milk
- 4tbsp cacao powder
- 1tbsp coconut oil
- Pinch sea salt
- Put the dates in a pan over a medium heat, and cover with the almond milk. Cook for about 15–20 min, stirring occasionally, until a paste has formed.
- Add the cacao powder, coconut oil and salt, and stir until combined, adding in a little more almond milk if it becomes too thick.
- Once you have a thick paste, remove it from the heat and leave to cool then transfer the paste to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
TIP: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
