French toast with berries

Our low-fat French toast, otherwise known as "eggy bread", can be topped with fresh berries and is a great way start to your day.

Serves 1

Prep Time 5 min

Cooking Time 5 min


  • 1 egg
  • Few drops vanilla extract
  • 2 slices wholemeal bread
  • Spray oil
  • 80g berries, fresh or frozen, thawed if frozen


  1. In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg with the vanilla. Dip the bread slices into the mixture to coat each side.
  2. Spray a small pan with oil and fry the bread for 1–2 min on each side until golden. Serve topped with the berries.
