Nutty mango and banana smoothie

Kick start the day with this quick and healthy low-fat smoothie, which also provides two of your five-a-day.

  • 225ml freshly squeezed orange juice, plus extra if needed
  • 100ml natural probiotic yogurt
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled, stoned and flesh roughly chopped
  • 1 banana, peeled and chopped
  • Small handful oats
  • 1tbsp almond butter
  • Ice cubes, to serve


  1. Put all the ingredients, except the ice, into a blender and whiz until smooth (or use a large jug and a stick blender). Check the consistency – if it’s too thick, thin down with a little orange juice.
  2. Pour into 2 glasses half-filled with ice and serve straightaway.
